Brookhaven

Brookhaven lifestyle

Brookhaven sits just a bit north of the ritzy Buckhead neighborhood. While Brookhaven has remained quite residential for many years, it is beginning to increase the number of restaurants and businesses around, making it a destination in its own right. If you haven't visited Brookhaven recently, you should pay it a visit!

See & Do

A Gothic campus of Oglethorpe University, it is quite picturesque and offers a beautiful backdrop for pictures in the fall. There are a broad range of cultural displays and modern art. A short, five-minute car trip up Peachtree Road from Buckhead, the museum and university are surrounded by the quiet residential neighborhood of Brookhaven. There is a museum on site with a small admission fee but roaming the campus costs nothing.

Eat

It is truly beautiful inside Haven, but it is also quite noisy, so if the weather allows, take advantage of Haven’s welcoming patio. For starters, try the mussels, fried oysters and the popular appetizer, truffled potato hay. These are like crispy little potato sticks with some parmesan cheese thrown in. They are highly addictive and a huge portion. For entrees, the Halibut or the Duck breast are solid choices.

Party

Cinebistro is a new kind of movie theatre. Located in Brookhaven, Cinebistro is a theatre, bar and restaurant all in one. Cinebistro is gorgeous inside - almost more like a playhouse than your run of the mill movie theatre. Order your tickets online and choose your seats which enbales you to reserve your seats. This means you can simply walk into the theatre minutes before the show starts.
